Graywire North was conceived by a founder, engineer, operator, and venture partner with deep experience across technical and executive roles. The firm emerged from a simple yet powerful insight: capital alone is not enough. Early-stage deep tech startups face unique challenges that most traditional VCs are ill-equipped to support.

To build a venture capital firm rooted in technical rigor, operational expertise, and authentic partnership — guiding founders from chaos to clarity to acceleration.
The goal is not to replicate existing models but to create the venture firm we wished had existed when we were building companies ourselves.

Leadership
Neal Campbell, Founding General Partner
An engineer, operator, venture-backed CEO, and strategic marketing leader, Neal brings a rare blend of technical depth and executive experience. As Founding General Partner, he’s architecting Graywire’s investment thesis and leading its early-stage development, with a vision to transition into a Chair/Advisor role as the firm scales. His career spans executive roles at Motorola, CDW and board positions. He currently serves as an Operating Partner at Vistria Group.
